MolReel is a free utility that lowers display brightness when you enter Instagram after a matching Reel-share notification, then restores the previous level when you leave Instagram. Choose a target from 1–100%; the default is 15%.

No subscription, ads, or MolReel account. English and Korean interfaces are included. Other app languages fall back to English; Instagram notification wording may require manual setup.

Set up on iPhone

1. Use iOS 27 or later. Open MolReel’s setup guide.
2. Import the restore, Instagram-entry, and notification automations into Apple Shortcuts, in that order.
3. Enable each automation, choose immediate execution, and grant the permissions requested by Shortcuts.
4. Check that the notification condition matches the wording of an actual Reel-share notification in your Instagram language. Adjust it in Shortcuts if necessary.
5. Use the optional, explicitly confirmed brightness preview to check dimming and restoration.

iPhone limitation: MolReel cannot determine whether you tapped a specific notification. Opening Instagram within 45 seconds of a matching notification may dim the screen, even if you dismissed or deleted that notification. Dimming applies while Instagram is open, not only while a Reel is playing. Sender selection is not included.

Set up on Android

Use Android 10 or later and install Instagram. Follow MolReel’s guide to allow notification access, usage access, and system-settings changes. Register the wording of a real Reel-share notification. Android’s notification-click and foreground events drive dimming and restoration; device background restrictions can delay or interrupt these events.

If something does not work

• Check the automation or permission checklist and the notification’s actual wording.
• Nothing dims if the screen is already at or below your target.
• If recovery is required, choose whether to restore the saved brightness or keep the current brightness. Do not reset unresolved recovery records.
• You can turn automatic dimming off. On iPhone, also disable or remove its Shortcuts automations if you no longer want them to run.
• MolReel does not disable HDR, detect video playback, identify senders, or guarantee health benefits. It is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

Processing stays on your device

MolReel does not send app usage, notifications, brightness history, or installation identifiers to our servers. It has no advertising or analytics SDK and does not require an account. It does not sell data or use it for tracking.

What the app uses locally

• Brightness settings, recovery records, recent operation diagnostics, and automation execution markers are stored on-device so the app can operate and recover safely.
• On iOS, Apple Shortcuts checks the notification condition. MolReel’s candidate action receives an event, not the sender, message text, or Reel URL.
• On Android, the notification listener ignores notifications from other apps before reading their contents. Recent Instagram notification previews are temporarily held in memory for setup. A matching phrase you confirm is stored locally with the detected sender replaced by a wildcard. Avoid putting personal information into a phrase.
• Android usage access helps detect whether Instagram is in the foreground. Settings permission allows brightness changes. Notification identifiers are locally keyed hashes rather than raw account-containing notification keys.
• A local installation identifier and timing information protect recovery ownership and expiry. They are not transmitted or used to track you. An iOS Keychain installation identifier may remain after uninstalling, under the operating system’s Keychain behavior.

Your choices and deletion

You can disable the feature and revoke system permissions. Use the app’s reset only after resolving any pending recovery. Uninstalling removes app-container data; iOS Keychain behavior is described above. Remove iPhone Shortcuts automations separately. No server-side MolReel account or database exists to delete.

Optional sharing and support

Diagnostics leave the device only when you choose to share them through the system share sheet. Review their contents and recipient first. If you email support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond to your request. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence. Your email provider and chosen sharing app process that communication under their own policies.

This support website

This static website has no analytics, advertising, forms, or app tracking. Its hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process connection information such as IP addresses and standard request logs to deliver and secure the site. This is separate from the offline app.

친구가 보낸 릴스 알림 뒤 Instagram에 들어가면 설정한 밝기로 낮추고, Instagram에서 나가면 이전 밝기로 복원하는 무료 유틸리티입니다. 밝기는 1–100%로 선택하며 기본값은 15%입니다. 구독·광고·MolReel 계정은 없습니다.

설정

iPhone은 iOS 27 이상이 필요합니다. 앱의 안내에 따라 복원 → Instagram 진입 → 알림 자동화를 단축어에 추가하고, 각각 활성화·즉시 실행·권한 허용을 직접 완료하세요. Instagram의 실제 알림 문구와 조건이 맞는지 확인하세요. 영어·한국어 외 언어는 알림 조건을 직접 바꿔야 할 수 있습니다.

Android는 Android 10 이상에서 Instagram 설치 후 알림 접근·사용정보 접근·시스템 설정 변경을 허용하고 실제 릴스 알림 문구를 등록하세요. 기기의 백그라운드 제한으로 감지나 복원이 지연·중단될 수 있습니다.

iPhone의 한계: 해당 알림을 직접 눌렀는지는 구분하지 않습니다. 알림 후보가 기록된 뒤 45초 안에 Instagram을 열면 알림을 지웠더라도 어두워질 수 있습니다. 릴스 재생 여부나 보낸 사람을 판별하지 않으며, Instagram에 머무는 동안 적용됩니다. HDR 차단이나 건강 효과를 보장하지 않습니다. Instagram·Meta와 제휴한 앱이 아닙니다.

복구가 필요하면 이전 밝기로 되돌리거나 현재 밝기를 유지하도록 선택하세요. 해결되지 않은 복구 기록은 초기화하지 마세요. 문의: studio@cdjstudio.xyz.

개인정보 처리방침

앱 사용 내역, 알림, 밝기 이력, 설치 식별자를 서버로 보내지 않습니다. 광고·분석 SDK나 계정이 없으며 개인정보를 판매하거나 추적에 사용하지 않습니다.

설정, 복구 기록, 진단, 자동화 실행 표시는 기기에 보관합니다. iOS에서는 단축어가 알림 조건을 확인하며 MolReel에는 이벤트만 전달됩니다. Android에서는 Instagram 알림만 처리합니다. 설정용 알림 미리보기는 메모리에 일시 보관하며, 사용자가 확정한 문구는 감지한 발신자를 와일드카드로 바꿔 기기에 저장합니다. 문구에 개인정보를 넣지 마세요. 알림 키는 원문 대신 기기 내 키로 해시 처리합니다.

사용정보 접근은 Instagram 진입·이탈 감지에, 설정 변경 권한은 밝기 조절에 사용합니다. 설치 식별자와 시간 정보는 안전한 복구·만료 판단용이며 전송하지 않습니다. iOS Keychain의 설치 식별자는 운영체제 동작에 따라 앱 삭제 후에도 남을 수 있습니다.

기능을 끄고 권한을 철회할 수 있습니다. 복구를 해결한 뒤 앱에서 초기화하거나 앱을 삭제해 앱 저장 데이터를 지울 수 있습니다. iPhone의 단축어 자동화는 별도로 삭제하세요. 서버 계정·데이터베이스는 없습니다.

진단은 사용자가 시스템 공유 기능을 직접 선택할 때만 기기 밖으로 나갑니다. 내용과 수신자를 확인하세요. 지원 이메일은 문의 응답에 사용하며 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다. 이메일·공유 앱에는 해당 서비스의 정책이 적용됩니다.

이 정적 지원 사이트에는 분석·광고·입력 양식·앱 추적이 없습니다. 호스팅 제공자인 Cloudflare가 사이트 전달·보안을 위해 IP 주소 등 접속 정보를 처리할 수 있으며, 오프라인 앱 처리와는 별개입니다.
